ANAMERO’S PASSION FOR EDUCATION: PLEDGE TO SUPPORT BOOK DISTRIBUTION AND LAUNCH OF E-COMMERCE PLATFORM

Sunday Anamero Dekeri (Danco), the lawmaker representing Etsako Central/Etsako East/ Etsako West Federal constituency has vowed to back the official presentation, exposition, and distribution of the book titled, “Stigma” in Edo North this March 2024. The polymath is committed to hosting the event alongside his fellow Edo lawmakers at the National Assembly. 

In addition to supporting the distribution of “Stigma,” he has pledged to collaborate with the author and prolific literary icon, Dr. Lois Otse Adams, in collaboration with his foundation, The Anamero Foundation, to widely distribute her previous works and books authored by others under her publication.

This partnership between Anamero and Adams holds the promise of boosting the literacy level of Edo State school children, given the former’s significant contributions to the education sector and Adams’ initiatives, such as establishing creative clubs in secondary schools, advocating against illegal migration, and combating child labour. 

Dr. Lois Adams, an influential figure in Edo state, is the Founder of the Udukhotse Foundation, Lead Writer/Author, and Publisher of Stars and Styles. Her wide-ranging books encompass investigative biographies, addressing issues like girl-child trafficking, and promoting strong character development in children.

 “Stigma,” her latest book which is set to be unveiled focuses on addressing rape in society and advocating for character-building in children. Adams, whose career extends to active journalism, public relations and political communication research, plans to launch an e-commerce platform to sell books authored by herself and others, aiming to compete with established platforms like Amazon.

She is a known member of several educational associations in Nigeria and beyond. Her official positions in Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) at the National level have built amiable relationships amongst founders, advisors, supporters, and members of various Creative Clubs, emphasizing their role in supporting her vision to empower young adults and children. In her efforts to uplift the youth, she urged other Edo people to join in fostering a better future for children and the youth. 

Moreover, Anamero who is a 2024 gubernatorial candidate from Edo North, under the APC platform, assured his commitment to supporting educational initiatives and pledged to make the upcoming March programme a multifaceted event. The event aims to re-launch Stars and Styles Communications and Publishing Limited, Udukhotse Foundation, and the Authors-in-School Creative Club for the betterment of Edo State.
